The collection consists of photographs of professors and students from Michigan Agricultural College (M.A.C., now Michigan State University). Edgar Burnett graduated in 1887 and later taught livestock courses. Lyster Dewey graduated 1888 and went with W. J. Beal on the 1888 expedition to survey Michigan's cutover forest.

The Stephen Masar collection contains materials from his time as a student at MSU. Included are study guides for sociology, American Thought and Language and Natuarl Science 183; student activity and theater ticket books, Beta Zeta Theta Chi and MSU fraternity brochures, how to use the MSU library booklets.
